A fascination for snake has always been shown by humans. Such fascination is a combination of awe and fear at the same time. Awe perhaps because of such creatures hidden mysteries and fear because of the possible harm it could inflict.
One thing is for sure, snakes have captured the attention, and the imagination of humans. Films featuring snakes have flooded Hollywood, among those include "Snakes on a Plane," "Anaconda" etc.
In this story, a gigantic 26-foot anaconda has caught the attention of internet users. It has become viral before and has become viral again.
An expedition has been initiated by a Swiss diver by the name of Mato Grosso in order to find the gigantic snake and have it documented on camera. Among those joining the said expedition include Franco Banfi and Daniel de Granville, snake enthusiasts.
Banfi braved the waters in which the anaconda was living. Aremed with only a camera, he dived into the waters and came face-to-face with such a gigantic creature.
Fortunately, the creature has just finished eating a capybara rodent and thus was feeling full at that time. This is perhaps the reason as to why Banfi was able to dive close to the creature unharmed.
Banfi, however, defends the creature saying that the snake would not have attacked him even if it did not eat anything at that time.
Granville also defended the snake saying that anacondas are usually shy around humans and that they have more to fear from humans than humans from them.
Banfi, however, did not deny that he was afraid for his life at that time.
The creature was seen in the Mato Grosso do Sul region in the heart of South America. The name of such a place when translated in English means: "Thick forest of the South."
During the course of the expedition, 6 different female anacondas were seen plying those areas.
It should be noted that great care should be exercised once in the presence of such creatures. It is safe not to do any act which would antagonize them since snakes, in general, attack only when provoked.
